Ashes of Honor by Seanan McGuireMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
This week was a week for new releases of series that I specifically follow. There was 6 new books this week to pick from…
1) I did definitely blow my entire book budget (HEHEHE, Like I have a budget) in one week.
2) I am still having a really hard time picking what book to read next because I love all these authors BUT I am so glad I decided to read Ashes of Honor because I gulp it down.
October Day, Toby, is asked by Etienne to find a missing ½ Fae child that has disappeared. Etienne didn’t know he had this child until her mother frantic calls believing that he had kidnapped his child to fairy. Chelsea is her name and she seems to be developing extremely strong teleporting abilities, so strong they may rip a whole in the fabric of Fairie if is she isn’t stopped.
Toby must find Chelsea before she rips open doors long closed between Fairie and the human world while she tries to figure out who is responsible for kidnapping Chelsea in the first place.
Tybalt come to the rescue and decides he is going to assist Toby in her task but this opens up discord in the Cat Kingdom.
Love this book, I literally did not want to put it down! Toby seemed to take front stage while her supporting characters all played a vital roles and kept this brilliant story flowing. The witty banter and perfect amount of humor added the extra kick to make this story extraordinary. It was difficult watching her mourn for Connor but Tybalt provides a very interesting future. Although there was romantic tension, it was a change to have the only sexual details to be passionate kisses… My only request of Seanan McGuire for her next book would be WRITE FASTER PLEASE!
