His Brand of Beautiful
by Lily Malone
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Christina Clay wants to start a new Australian wine brand and she wants the expertise of Tate Newell to be the marketing genius behind it. Tate is very reluctant to take on Clay Wines’ account, he feels very strongly against “Businesses with a Cause” and Clay Wines is just such a business… Until he meets Christina and is almost immediately intrigued and interested in an non-business relationship.
To prove to himself that he’s made the right decision about Christina and her wine company, Tate high jacks Christina into the Australian outback. Quickly Christina proves herself to be more than just a pretty city girl and a corporate face.
The attraction between Christina and Tate is electrifying but Christina has lots of baggage and doesn’t think she can ever truly love anyone but a baby. She decides quickly that Tate is the perfect guy to give her a baby she needs but she doesn’t let Tate in on her little plan.
This was a very slow building story but I found myself completely captivated by the characters and plot right till the end. Both Tate and Christina have personal demons they must resolve in order to have any semblance of a loving relationship, watching this development was enthralling. Lily Malone paints an extremely colorful picture making His Brand of Beautiful jump off the pages.
