Overview:
Stacey's fiance Liam has just landed a new job in the city, and the young couple is forced to move into a low-budget flat in a seedy neighborhood. It's not the the dream house they imagined, but it's well within their price range and a short distance from Stacey's graduate school.
Soon after they move in, however, Stacey begins to experience terrible nightmares, vivid hallucinations, cold spells, and frequent panic attacks. As she spirals deeper and deeper into what appears to be a physical and mental breakdown, putting her university career and relationship in jeopardy, she befriends the reclusive old woman next door who tells her chilling stories of the house's former occupants.
Is Stacey going mad or is the dark history of 24 Claremont Street something that can't and won't be be ignored?

ShatteredMy Review:
Shattered by C. S. Kane
Can an apartment on the seedier side of town retain the aura of a heinous crime committed within its walls? Does the evil still live on long after the victims are gone? When a young couple move into a less than desirable apartment Stacey begins to feel as if there is evil within its gloomy walls. She begins to come apart emotionally and mentally, straining her relationship with her fiancé. Are the visions she sees real? Are they all menacing or do some mean her no harm? Is she losing her hold on sanity?
Shattered by C. S. Kane is one of those dark and sinister reads that are perfect to read on a dark and stormy night for those of us who love to occasionally delve into a haunting read that toys with the mind. The author sets a bleak stage, both physically and emotionally and unrolls the action from there, creating just the right amount of frenzy and fear! Well done, well thought out and just long enough to register a about a 8 on the creep factor scale!

I received an ARC edition in exchange for my honest review from Darkfuse.
