Amelia Radley thought she had it all when she met a man in a bar and he
ended up being royalty. Their love affair was anything but boring, and
yet he dumped her almost exactly a year after asking her out to their
first dinner date. While the wound was deep and fresh thirty days after
their separation, she picked up the morning paper only to see that the
man she thought she loved had already become engaged to another woman.
Her best friend, Tina, suggests the only thing she knows would make
her feel better. Amelia should start dating any man she meets that she
likes so that she can get over her ex. The idea is ludicrous, and yet
Amelia agrees to a date with a man she has never met before. All the
while, she considers herself nothing more than the prince’s ex, a woman
who could not hold the affections of every woman’s dream.
When she finds love in an unexpected place, it’s challenged by the
past and the future looks rocky. Amelia’s insecurities might get in the
way of her finding true love, in more ways than one.

Told with humor and heart, Nadene Seiter’s The Prince’s Ex is the tale of one woman’s journey from heartbreak and public humiliation to the realization that her own Prince Charming could be standing right in front of her. Settle in and let this author build her world around you and populate it with characters that will make you laugh, leave you exasperated, make you smile, sigh, smirk, cringe and get angry, just like in “The Real World.”
Amelia thought she knew where her life was going, that she would be marrying a real prince, only to discover she is being tossed aside and the tabloids are flashing stories about the future “Mrs. Prince” across their pages and she is dubbed The Prince’s Ex. Amelia already has abandonment issues and her confidence is cut to the core while well-meaning friends set her up with one disastrous blind date after another. Ready to jump out of her skin, she tosses her job away and sets a course that she knows she can navigate, sans men.
Peter, the local coffeehouse barista is the warm smile she sees every morning, but nothing more, until she discovers what a good friend he can be. But does he want more? Is Amelia ready to take a chance on a man whose career seems less than lofty? To say there is more to Peter than his good looks and gentle ways is an understatement, but will Amelia see who her real prince is before Peter gives up on her? Will she see she is worthy of love that could stand the test of time and tear down the walls of self-doubt she has built?
Nadene Seiter can write true romance, the kind that sneaks up on you and melts your heart as you watch it blossom, face storms of uncertainty and still stand strong. Her characters grow with each page until you realize they feel real, not some over the top dream team, or some super-action figures come to life. Beautifully written, with an easy pace that never feels rushed or overdone, this tale of second chances could be a perfect summer read. If you want to feel good about love and how it brings the best out in people, try The Prince’s Ex.
