Love is the Biggest Gamble of All . . .

Cocktail waitress Sophie Dalton doesn't exactly have a life plan. She's perfectly happy being everyone's favorite party girl. But when a Las Vegas bachelorette party goes awry and an uptight businessman mistakes Sophie for a prostitute . . . well, Sophie wonders if it's time to reevaluate her priorities. Swearing off her thigh-high boots for good, Sophie slinks back home with damaged pride-and a jackpot of a hangover.

Yet what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there. On a trip to Seattle to open a new office, Grayson Wyatt meets his latest employee-who turns out to be the same woman he recently called a hooker. Wealthy and gorgeous, Gray is a man used to getting what he wants. And it doesn't take long to figure out that smart, sassy, sexy Sophie is everything he's been looking for. As their late nights at the office turn into hot morning-afters, they realize their Vegas misunderstanding may lead to the real thing . . .

Only with You (The Best Mistake, #1)My Review
Only with You by Lauren Layne
My Rating: 5 Stars

I love it when I forget I’m reading fiction and not a bit-player character in a funny, yet warm romantic tale! Only with You by Lauren Layne is one of those books that makes me feel insta-love for the characters, kind of like getting the piece of cake with the most frosting, only to discover its magically calorie free! Yeah, I loved this book that much!

Poor Sophie, she hasn’t lived up to her family’s expectations, is always the child getting the “look” or the “talk” even as an adult. She hears her own drum beating, but it’s not leading her to her destiny, her happiness and when she is about at her lowest point, she is trapped in an elevator with Mr. Corporate hot guy with the proverbial stick inserted firmly “somewhere,” who mistakes her humorous outfit for that of a hooker. Imagine how she felt when her perfect sister brings the aforementioned stick implantee to the family dinner as her date. Grayson Wyatt is a force to be reckoned with, but Sophie proves to be a formidable foe as she takes a job at his firm as his personal assistant.

Even if one thinks they know where this love/hate relationship is going, there is no way to imagine how much fun the journey to that last page is going to be! To call it a roller coaster does NOT do the ride justice! Will the vibrant and social Sophie find a chink in her boss’s starched shorts or will she dig and prod enough to find the real, wounded and lonely man under the cold exterior?

Lauren Layne has penned a light romantic read that will bring chuckles, a few frowns and a few well-earned “You go Girl!” comments! Sophie is completely loveable, likable and simply adorably wonderful, a girl who deserves to be accepted for who she is. Gray, now here is a man who has trapped himself in his own sterile fortress, longing to tear down the walls, but not sure how to go about it. Talk about a love match! Ms. Layne’s style is light, flows easily and is completely captivating from start to finish!

I received an ARC edition from Forever in exchange for my honest review.
