Mala LaCroix sees dead people - really. After using her psychic gifts to catch a killer, she's locked in a psych ward and must strike a deal with the devil to secure her release. Apprenticed to a dark arts practitioner, Mala vows to free herself and save her loved ones from danger. But she doesn't know who to turn to when her crush on Landry Prince turns into something more serious.

Landry has sacrificed everything to protect Mala. A near-death experience changes him forever, and now he, too, possesses supernatural powers he doesn't understand. Mala and Landry must band together to defeat the dark forces- both human and otherworldly- who would use their abilities for evil. Even as they fall for each other, they must prepare to battle for their very souls . . .

Dark SacrificeMy Review
Dark Sacrifice by Angie Sandro

Get ready for book two of this dark, dark, trilogy, appropriately named Dark Paradise. Dark Sacrifice by Angie Sandro is a trip back into the world she has created, full of danger, mystery, bloodshed and action, kick in a little tension between two of the characters and expect to be riveted to each and every page. We are returned to the dark, superstitious and gritty bayou country where the practice of the “arts” can become a deadly game of cat and mouse as fear and old beliefs outweigh proof and common sense.

Mala and Landry must work through their differences and learn to become a team, trust in one another and have each other’s back. Will it result in deeper feelings being exposed as their pasts are bared? Can they even be friends again or not when this is all over? Will they learn to control their new and growing powers?

Page one punches you in the gut, hooking you completely as Angie Sandro plunges us immediately into this tale. She is able to hold you captive with her words, detailed descriptions and life-like characters as her gift for telling a scary tale shines even brighter in this addition to the series. Sit back and let both the characters and the plot steer you through the ride of your life, as you hope you are able to make it out rattled, but unscathed, it’s that good, although Aunt Magnolia still scared the heck out of me, I think she has a hidden side we haven’t seen yet!

I received this ARC edition in exchange for my honest review from Forever (Grand Central Publishing.

  1. I love the simple cover. I am not familliar with this series. As soon as I read the character sees dead people it caught my attention. There are so many books I want to read and this will be some more that I will add to my TBR pile. ^_^
