Kiera's Quest: Choices by Kristy Brown
Where is Kiera? Is she even alive? Why hasn’t she contacted anyone on either side of the veil separating Earth and the world beyond? The vortex won’t open again until another Leap Year. How much damage can be done in that time if the evil Witch Queen is running loose and being her nasty little self? Zakk rallies his troops and his allies, while on Earth, Maddy, Tom and their small group of valiant rebels prepares to put up a resistance.
Is Kiera safe but lost to them? Only the Chosen One can fulfill the prophecy and just when it seemed Kiera had accepted her destiny, something has gone horribly wrong. She is safe, but her memory is gone. Will she remember who she is and the role she plays in saving both worlds? Friends and allies join together, some will fall, and some will face torture at the hands of the Witch Queen, all in support of Kiera’s Quest. Will Kiera be able to put an end to the evil that threatens those that depend on her?
Kiera’s Quest: Chosen by Kristy Brown is the culmination of an amazing series for tweens, teens, and adults. Kristy holds nothing back as she ties each loose cord and puts the final padlock on the door to Kiera’s quest. With each installment, her characters have grown, become more defined, particularly Kiera as she grew into the role she must play. Ms. Brown has poured a world full of adventure and fantasy into her caldron and brought each scene to life as the clock began to run down, keeping me glued to each page, my mind racing to keep up. As much as I loved the Witch Queen’s attitude at times, there is a person who is clearly and most definitely evil and untrustworthy, although, for a moment, I almost felt sorry for her. That is how real Kristy Brown has made her world. From pulse pounding action to sorrow to smiles, I was there, every step of the way. Once again, even the most reluctant reader will feel the thrill of this adventure, the magic and the developing tension that crescendos to a brilliant finish. A series to be shared, a fantasy to fuel the mind!
