On the other side of death, is destiny.

Callie Ingram is spending her senior year focused on one thing: swimming. Her skill as a competitive swimmer is going to secure a scholarship and her future, or so she hopes. She has big plans, and Liam Hale, her gorgeous new neighbor, isn’t going to affect them. But when Callie sees Liam beheading someone, she learns his family has a secret that will change everything. The Hales are Vikings, demi-gods who’ve been charged by The Fates to find their new destined leader.

Callie’s caught in the middle of a budding Norse apocalypse, in love with Liam Hale and desperate to protect her best friend…who the Hales believe is marked for transformation. Putting the clues together as fast as she can, can discovers she has the power to rewrite destiny, for herself and all humankind.

Prophecy (Calypso, #1)My Review:
Prophecy by Julie Anne Lindsey

Prophecy was an outstanding, new young adult read.

Callie's life makes a drastic change when new neighbors move into the spooky house next door. The Hale house has had a cursed stigma for years. With their return, strange things begin to happen...but the strangest thing is only Callie can remember it.

Caught in the middle of a Norse Armageddon, no one is quite sure what or who Callie really is, especially the Hales.

Budding romantic interest, ancient gods and demi-gods, a battle of good and evil, where could you go wrong...Prophecy has it all.

I loved the unexpected plot twists and turns. Lindsey kept me on my toes and riveted to the pages. I am looking forward to Calypso #2.

I received this ARC copy of Prophecy from Kensington Books in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication October 6, 2014.
