He intends to raise a demon from the depths of hell to destroy the city, cement his power, and take control. In her pursuit to stop a demon from manifesting, Dahlia sinks deeper into the city's supernatural underworld and discovers that vampires are not only deadly; one in particular could be dangerous to her very soul and her heart. Patrick, the Master vampire's second-in-command with dark penetrating eyes and a cool, deadly sophistication, can't stay away and Dahlia can't tell him no. There's something that neither of them knows, Ethan wants Dahlia's unleashed power for himself and is willing to do anything to get it. Dahlia is in a race against time to send the demon back to hell, at war with her better judgment, trusting a dark and intriguing vampire with his own agenda, while struggling to save her own neck. Pool of CrimsonMy Review
Pool of Crimson by Suzanne M. Sabol

Vampires, werewolves, demons and one lethal vampire killer, The Blushing Death equals one amazing and dark tale from Suzanne M. Sabol titled Pool of Crimson. Dahlia Sabin trusts no one, her life is lonely and she deals with the dark side of life, the part that normal people believe is all myth. She is The Blushing Death. When she discovers a demon is about to be raised by the Master Vampire in town, she becomes determined to stop him, but time is not on her side and she never expected the Master’s second-in-command to prove to be a danger to her heart, as well as her life. Is Patrick being honest about his feelings or is he an agent of evil, in search of the powers she possesses for his master?

Suzanne M. Sabol can write dark paranormal intrigue and romance. With powerful villains, a feisty heroine who knows how to take care of herself, well, except for her confusing romantic attractions, and a plot that flows with the tension and action, like a river rapids, this is an excellent fantasy read. No one was perfect, no one was completely evil, but even with some slightly blurred lines, each twist and turn made this ride a wonderful from start to the unknown finish! Ms. Sabol doesn’t’ ease us into her world, she drops us in from at least 30 stories above, so when you land, get ready for the action, the steam and the conflict to come barreling right at you!

I received this copy as part of the Pool of Crimson Tour and HUGE Giveaway stopping at Tome Tender October 9, 2014!
