Charity Goswick thinks she is escaping an arranged marriage to a brute when she slips onto a ship unnoticed. Little does she realize that this is no honorable vessel of the King's Navy - it is a pirate ship. It's just a matter of time before she is discovered by a handsome rake of a pirate, who locks her in his cabin. And while she should be scared, her captor sparks the most unladylike feelings within her... James Lamont is on the ship for one reason, and one reason only: to track down his brother. However, his spirited little stowaway certainly affords plenty of distraction with her many (failed) attempts to escape. And each time, the unspoken - and unbidden - passion between them grows stronger. But as violence and danger mount on the high seas, Charity will have to put all of her trust in the most untrustworthy of men... the arrogant pirate who just might steal her heart.

Tempting the PirateMy Review
Tempting the Pirate by Tamara Hughes

Looking for a swash buckling adventure with a spunky heroine and a reluctant hero, check out Tempting the Pirate.

Charity Goswick narrowly escapes what is sure to be a brutal life married to a despicable man only to land herself onto a pirate ship. Talk about falling from the frying pan into the fire.

James Lamont is searching for his missing brother, his brother's ship was taken by pirates. James' search leads him to a ship full of pirates and one very unexpected stow-away.

James' intentions are mostly honorable in trying to keep his “stow-away” safe, but Charity fights his help every bit of the way.

This was a delightful read. Charity has a man hating mentality while James is stuck with a highly protective nature.

Simply entertaining, Tempting the Pirate is also a fun, easy to read story with a wonderful historical romance flare.
