Synopsis:
Return to New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh’s sensual and painfully beautiful Guild Hunter world in her new novel of sacrifice, loyalty, and the choices of love that can shatter the heart.

In the wake of a brutal war, the archangel Raphael and his hunter consort, Elena, are dealing with the treacherously shifting tides of archangelic politics and the people of a battered but not broken city. The last thing their city needs is more death, especially a death that bears the eerie signature of an insane enemy archangel who cannot— should not—be walking the streets.

This hunt must be undertaken with stealth and without alerting their people. It must be handled by those who can become shadows themselves…

Ash is a gifted tracker and a woman cursed with the ability to sense the secrets of anyone she touches. But there’s one man she knows all too well without a single instant of skin contact: Janvier, the dangerously sexy Cajun vampire who has fascinated and infuriated her for years. Now, as they track down a merciless killer, their cat-and-mouse game of flirtation and provocation has turned into a profound one of the heart. And this time, it is Ash’s secret, dark and terrible, that threatens to destroy them both.

Archangel's Shadows (Guild Hunter, #7)My Review:
Archangel's Shadows by Nalini Singh

The archangel war has just ended…or has it. A disease is erupting quietly behind the scenes in NYC, a disease that says their enemy might not be as gone as they thought. Raphael enlists his vampire Janvier with the assistance of the hunter’s tracker Ash to uncover this new threat before it grows to epic proportions.

Ash and Janvier have had a vexing relationship to say the least, but when they must work together the chemistry sparks with new heights of tension. Secrets start to unfold and they must learn to work together to uncover this deadly threat.

I unquestionably loved Archangel's Shadows.

You’d think it being Ash’s and Janvier’s book it would be all about them but only about 50% is their story. Singh also gives us a heavy dose of Raphael, Elena as well as more information on the Legion. While Dmitri, Bluebell, and Honor had page time, it was Naasir’s domination that has me yearning for what’s to become of him and his deadly ways. Who could possibly be a match for Naasir and when will we get his story.

Singh continues to captivate me with her world building and storytelling. I feel this series just gets better and better with each new installment. Nalini Singh is a talented author that weaves a sexy and irresistible web the keeps us guessing till the end.
