HeroMy Review
Hero by Samantha Young

Addicting reading, chemistry and oh, the conflict! Samantha Young has done it, again with Hero, the story of a secrets, lies, over-the-top egos, and that final moment of realization, did I mention the passionate heat?

Alexa’s world was shattered the day she found that her hero, her father, was not the man she imagined he was. Her goal was to separate herself from the lies she had lived and carve out her own place in the world. That place is threatened when a client adamantly refuses to work with her company unless she is fired. Who is the egotistical Caine Carroway? He cost her her job and now offered to let her be his PA. They don’t even like each other, but Alexa is determined to prove she is nothing like her father; the man whose choices had tainted both of their lives. Is this Caine’s way of seeking retribution? Must Alexa pay for the sins of her father?

Caine’s plan was brilliant in an evil sort of way, but the attraction these two feel for each other is undeniable. Alexa becomes a part of Caine’s conflicted emotions as he runs smoking hot and possessive one minute, and cold as true zero the next. Will Alexa become Caine’s puppet or will her personality force a final emotional showdown? Secrets, danger, lies and passions will come to a rolling boil, but will love save their souls?

Samantha Young combines angst, a little humor and great dialogue to the steam and has, once again created a fascinating and twisted tale of two damaged souls who have the opportunity to overcome their pasts with love. Her style never gets old, flows freely and takes her readers into a world far removed from reality, as she breathes life into her words.

I received this ARC copy from NAL in exchange for my honest review.

  1. I have been avoiding this book because it sounded to typical for me. But now that I have looked at some more of the reviews in detail this sounds like a great romance with a bit more than that included as well :3 Great review ^^
