Starlight (Starlight Chronicles, #3)My Review
Starlight by Lisa Orchard

Lark Singer has faced some tough times, just growing up, being a socially awkward teen, and following a dream that she firmly believes in. To reach her goals, she will face emotional turmoil, insecurity, deceit and the pain of losing one of the best parts of her life. The next hurdle could make or break her dreams of being a rockstar and sharing her love of music with the world. Is she ready for what is to come?

Lark and the band have worked hard, played hard and are rock solid for the upcoming competition that could make or break her dreams, but life still has a way of getting in the way. Is the competition trying to get into her head with his ominous predictions and his offers of joining his band? Bean is hiding something and everyone knows but Lark, is she refusing to see the truth about her best friend? Will he put their dreams in jeopardy? It’s time to face the music, head on in every facet of Lark’s life, but is she ready for her past to collide with her tremulous present and the unknown of her future?

Starlight by Lisa Orchard stands above the crowd of wonderful YA reading. She tells the story of a young girl with hopes and aspirations on a mission to succeed and fulfill her dreams. As in life, that road is never smooth and the potholes of life threaten to throw her off course. Through it all, this strong character never gives up. Ms. Orchard gives us a tale to believe, a character to believe in and enough reality to make you cry, rant, and cheer! She knows how to set that big build up and pull her readers into an emotional embrace that makes every page come to life. Although geared to young adults, Ms. Orchard’s style will cross all age groups. Another hidden gem unveiled with nary a vamp in sight! I cannot recommend this series enough!
