With the quick lock of their eyes on one another, the passion ignites. Their bodies speak volumes that can never be shared. As long as Dan Vindico keeps Fionna Styler between him and his bed sheets, she’ll be safe. If anyone finds out about the two of them, she’ll be at the very top of every Interfeci hit list. Keeping anyone from knowing that his world now rises and sets to the rhythms of her body is all that matters.
The Realm prepares for a long anticipated trial, the birth of the new Crown Governor’s baby, and the wedding of the century. Everything is going according to plan until one night threatens to unravel every precaution and every safeguard Dan has set to keep Fionna safe. If he doesn’t end the Interfeci soon, he’s going to lose everything, including Fionna.
Dominic Wretchkinsides, head of the Interfeci criminal organization, goes several steps too far, and Dan declares war. They meet in a heated battle where the winner takes all and there are no holds barred. Could getting everything he’s wanted for so long cost Dan Vindico everything he already has? Can he keep Fionna safe or will everything he’s worked for be All but Lost?

All But LostMy Review
All but Lost by Jillian Neal

Not sure how Jillian Neal does it, but once again she has balanced raw need with romance and intrigue and brought home another hit! All But Lost is truly a blend of good old fashioned family closeness and values, the fight of good versus evil and pure romantic heat, kind of like a realistic Ozzie and Harriet in the 21st century, with paranormal powers, written for the NA crowd. (Never heard of Ozzie and Harriet? Google it)

It’s a time of happiness and big events for the Haydenshires, a new baby is on the way, the wedding of the century and a trial that could define the future of one amazing Healer. Yet, the threat of Wretchkinsides and his goons attacking still looms large as his threats continue to hit closer and closer to home. Dan Vindico has finally found some peace from his torment with Fiona, but if anyone finds out, she will wear a target on her back, something Dan can never let happen. Will he find a weapon to use against Wretchkinsides to end his reign of terror and death? What price is too high to pay to bring him down once and for all? Like a crazed animal Dan is determined to keep Fiona safe. Why can’t Dan have a healing love like everyone else? Hasn’t he paid a high enough price to protect those around him?

Jillian Neal’s world of the Gifted Realm is always filled with steaming romantic flare, but she coddles that heat within tales that will have you sighing about the love of family, trust and the humor shared! Talk about an open family! Ms. Neal has a certain spark that she adds to her tales that bring her characters to life and makes them people “you want to know.” I think this may have been her best addition to this series, yet! From unsure lovers to crazed heroes to the political family that rocks the model family vibe, it’s all there and presented with perfect pacing, some bad cooking and lots of heat!
