Synopsis:

In a world divided by prejudice and hatred, only love can bridge the chasm.

Tensions are rising in the Gladium Province. The boundary between humans and Morgons has begun to blur. While the human aristocracy strives to maintain distance between their daughters and the dragon-hybrid race, fate has other plans.

As the daughter of the corporate king, Jessen Cade is duty-bound to honor her arranged marriage to a man she detests. Feeling trapped by family duty and a loveless future, she longs for more, straying to the Morgon side of the city.

Lucius Nightwing is the eldest son of the powerful Morgon clan, and the greatest enemy of Jessen’s father. When a bar-room brawl thrusts Jessen into his arms, his dragon roars to the surface, craving to sate his carnal hunger in the brown-eyed beauty. The beast in Lucius recognizes her as his own, even if the man refuses to admit the truth.

Soulfire by Juliet Cross (Nightwing, #1)

Hellooo, hot alpha dragons! Juliette Cross’ novella trilogy kicked off with Soulfire, a world where a half human, half dragon race exists amidst the prejudices and hatred of an intolerant world. The Morgon race and the human race have always lived in their own worlds, but now the lines are becoming blurred as humans become more fascinated by the mystique and powerful beauty of these part dragon beings. Jessen is rebelling against the life her corporate kingpin father has arranged for her. She has been betrothed to a man she has no feelings for, all for the sake of power and money. What better place to show her rebellion, but a Morgon nightclub, too bad the beautiful Jessen has become a magnet for trouble. Who better to “rescue” her than Lucius Nightwing, huge, powerful and Morgon.

Imagine Lucius’ surprise when this tiny human is like a siren calling to his dragon. Has he found his mate? Their love won’t be easy as they have crossed the line and the Morgon’s greatest enemy is her father. Heated passion, heated emotions and heated tempers equal, hot reading!

Juliette Cross has built a magical world, populated it with magical creatures, the magic of love and the darkness of hate, but will it stand a chance against love? Fast, furious and full of tension, if this is just an intro to a larger series, we are in for an amazing journey and some hot dragons!
