Bonds of FateMy Review
Bonds of Fate by Jason P. Crawford

Sam Buckland has overcome his reluctance to assume his role on earth for the Creator. He has mastered the magic he has been given and assumed a more mature and confident attitude. Bonds of Fate by Jason P. Crawford takes us on a journey through the heavens and hell as something has happened that could spell disaster for the world, for the faithful, and for the very angels themselves, not a tough enough thing to deal with?? His young, foul-mouthed and opinionated daughter is witness to some of the bizarre and terrifying events that are taking place and Satan, trapped in a mortal body, when she was spelled by evil, is along for this possibly apocalyptic ride.

Angels are falling from the skies. The creator and his archangels seem to be incommunicado. Have they been destroyed or has the creator given up on mankind? As Sam searches blindly for answers, he must use his powers to command other magical beings, and it’s a duty they cannot refuse. Have the minions of hell finally won the battle of good versus evil?

Have the gods of myth and legend returned to reclaim their own thrones? When times get tough, unlikely allies arise. Why won’t the creator answer?

Not your typical read about spirituality or personal beliefs, Bonds of Fate and Jason P. Crawford take a slightly different look at the interactions between demons, angels, ancient gods, Yahweh, the creator and the minions of evil. Mr. Crawford has created a tale of fantasy where angels are approachable, a teen and her father swear like sailors and deciding who is good and who is evil is like watching the pieces on a chess board being moved about. Definitely entertaining, full of twists and unexpected turns, open your mind to the tale being told and stop looking around for lightning bolts to strike! I read it, I’m here! Another trip riding the envelope of creativity for Mr. Crawford.

I received this ARC edition from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Her Wild Hero (X-Ops, #3)My Review
Her Wild Hero by Paige Tyler

He has been attracted to her for seven years, but she always turned him down for a date. She thought she was the perfect match for someone else, but found out there was no chemistry. They both work for a covert government agency, she inside, behind the scenes, he as a warrior/soldier/shifter. Declan and Kendra never really associated with each other much until they were thrown into a life and death chase through the jungles of Cost Rica on a mission gone wrong. As they run for their lives from genetically altered hybrid shifters, it’s either talk and get to know each other or run in silence. Declan is quiet, a loner, a fierce soldier, and a brutally strong bear shifter, a “gift” that has been mostly a curse in his life until he needs it the most.

Kendra wanted some excitement, so into the field she goes on what appeared to be a normal training operation, until that easy assignment becomes a trap to capture Declan to create more hybrid killing machines. Together they make a great team as Kendra shocks Declan with her weapons expertise and her calm under pressure. Declan shocks Kendra when he opens up about his past and she finds a soul in pain, much deeper than she imagined. Is it possible that hybrids weren’t the only one in the jungle? Was Cupid along on the hunt with his own plans of capture?

Her Wild Hero by Paige Tyler is a military paranormal romantic tale of suspense with two people fighting for survival just when they find the best reason to live. Although part of a series, this is a great stand alone, filled with supernatural creatures, power-hungry scientists and a budding romance that appears to be a long time in the making. Paige Tyler has filled each page with the energy of the hunt, both physical and emotional as a quiet and insecure shifter and an adventure-seeking woman find they have more in common than the will to live. A quick read that keeps the suspense running high and the romance smoldering hot.

May the Fourth Be With You is an eclectic anthology of short stories that stretch across time and space.

In Just Another Day in Hell, Demelza Carlton leads the reader to hell and back. Lucifer has to deal with his devilish girlfriend, demons, and how to get away with harassing the minions in the HELL Corporation. Add in an angelic temp employee, and Luce may find the way to hell paved with good intentions.

Joe DeRouen introduces humans and ghosts in Up in Smoke. Can humans and ghosts work together to figure out what’s behind deadly and destructive fires… when they can’t even communicate?

Lisa Hall’s Blackstone Manse explores the ancient white manse outside a village, and its mysterious relationship with the townspeople. When a religious order gets its metaphorical nose out of joint and decides to destroy the manse, the villagers must decide what to do.

In Celia Kennedy’s post-apocalyptic world, memories aren’t always what they seem. In Tears in the Rain, can a fierce bounty hunter, who wears yet another mask, complete his mission and find his way back to a gentler time? Or will the corrosive atmosphere and decaying planet strip away all that remains human about him?

In Heather Osborne’s Ripples in the Tide, Garrett stands at a crossroads in his life. He’s made some questionable choices, and he’s paying for them. Without warning, his boyhood of abuse and cruelty at the hands of his father crosses into his present as an inmate in prison. Will his sessions with prison psychologist Dr. Arianna Cross help him put the past behind him, or will she help him carve out a new future of hope and love?

On a remote planet, Leonie Rogers’ The Renewer demonstrates the lengths to which a society in a far corner of the universe will go to retrieve its Chosen Child. As its captain, Jen must take her squad into danger to rescue the child. With high stakes and little chance of success, Jen knows failure will lead to the loss of more than just the child.
In Lost in Times, by C. J. Rutherford, Derren continues to seek something he can’t define, even across time and space. He drags Krista, his twin sister, into his search, landing them in a Nazi prison camp. The twins must make the right decision, one which won’t wreak havoc on the past, present, or future.

In Jada Ryker’s Gimlet, Juneau and Coldwell pose as patients in a mental hospital to solve a paranormal mystery. Fellow patient Iris, notorious for both her séances and her police record, claims she’s in touch with the spirits who have the answers to the puzzle. Will her supernatural connections help Juneau and Coldwell solve the mystery, or lead to a one-way trip to the morgue?

May The Fourth: A Collection of Stories Across Time and Space
By Celia Kennedy, Demelza Carlton,
Joe DeRouen,

Have you ever seen the dessert table on a cruise? There is something for everyone and it all looks fabulous! May the Fourth: A collection of Short Stories across Time and Space is like that dessert table, small portions of some of the most delectable treats ever! Unlike that dessert table you can read one short story at a time, because it will always be there!

Some fine authors came together and gave us their best and it shows. Every tale is different, some you may like more than others, but they each have a distinct flavor, pace and the special style of their author. From Demelza Carlton, to Celia Kennedy and everyone in between, there was not one story I did not enjoy. Yes, I did have a couple of favorites, but my favorite might not be yours. There is word magic when a group of authors are working together instead of in competition, confident in their abilities to put their short story out there under the same cover as others.

From fantasy snark to kind of silly or sweet, there is something for everyone to like, one tale at a time. You could fill your lunch hours for a couple of weeks with great reading that will NOT make you feel short-changed, story-wise.

I received a copy from one of the authors in exchange for my honest review and I cannot thank all of them enough for the entertainment!

Life’s the shit!
Chicks squeal over how wild and yummy I am, play their silly games trying to tie me down. But I’m free as a bird, doing what makes life life: kicking extreme-sport-ass!

I base jump, snowboard, bungee jump. I do anything for the rush.
Then, Ingela blows into town for college—a cool Swedish blast of trouble. Foulmouthed and runway-gorgeous, the girl seeps in like poison and melts the freaking brain.
To Ingela I am what chicks were to me: pastime, leisure, entertainment, pleasure. She’s killing me, and I’m digging it. There’s a new rush in town! Yeah, I hunt down my highs, and now the chase is on. I’ll catch her soon enough, just, what’s the deal with her ex?
With Ingela, sex is a dance. A slow tango where skin flows over skin. It is slick readiness, a quiet welcome. It’s smooth, warm, right, and all wrong.

On and off. On and off. Again, she’s wrecked with grief. It’s a reminder of how I destroy her, how crushed relationships shouldn’t be revived.
We’ve done this for years, now, but clearly we’re in for more.

Originally from Norway, I moved to the United States twelve years ago. I hold a Master’s degree in languages and taught Spanish at college level before settling in at the Savannah College of Art and Design as an adviser.

I write New Adult fiction, sometimes with a paranormal twist—like in “Shattering Halos,” published by The Wild Rose Press in February 24th 2014 and in “Stargazer,” released November 2014. The first book I’ve self-published was the New Adult Contemporary novel “Pandora Wild Child,” which made me a proud indie author in October 28th 2014.

I specialize in impulsive heroines, bad-boys, and good-boys running amok. Then, there’s the intense love, physical and emotional attraction beyond reason—sensory overload for the reader as well as for the characters. Like in real life, I hope you’re unable to predict what comes next in my stories.

Yes, so I write what I love to read, and depending on the reader, you’ll find my books to be a fast-paced emotional rollercoaster—or disturbing because the struggles of love aren’t your thing. Here’s to hoping you have the same reading vice as me!

Quinn Loftis Presents the DREAM OF ME Review Tour!

“In the evening… [he] blows softly upon their necks, till their heads begin to droop. […] Under each arm he carries an umbrella; one of them, with pictures on the inside, he spreads over the good children, and then they dream the most beautiful stories the whole night.” ~ Hans Christian Anderson

Since the dawn of time, Brudair, otherwise known as the Sandman to the world, has faithfully lived out his purpose, faithfully performed his duties. He has never questioned his lot among the immortals, until now, until her. Sarah Serenity Tillman, a consummate beauty both inside and out, is a high school senior five months from her graduation. She has great plans, dreams of leaving the small town of her childhood behind her forever. But destiny has other plans, and it’s the Sandman’s job to make sure those plans are fulfilled.

The tall muscular Sandman, known as Dair to his friends, dressed in black, wrapped in shadows, is more than a myth. And he has a job to do. His very existence makes him a creature of the night, because dreams, (yes the legends got that part right), were indeed his specialty. But his purpose was more than just weaving dreams for sleeping children. No, his dreams were made to influence, made to ensure that certain special individuals, those individuals who would change the course of history, actually accepted their chosen destiny.

Little does Serenity know that she is Dair’s next assignment. And the dream that he weaves for her, if she follows its influence, will change the course of, not only her life, but possibly the whole of history as well. But she isn’t the only one being influenced. The beauty inside of her was weighing on the Sandman, lighting up the darkness that was his constant companion. Her light was warmth, it was life, and he didn’t understand how he had survived the previous millennia without it.

The Sandman was indeed greater than anything humans had ever imagined, and his purpose was vital to the course of history. So what happens when the weaver of dreams gets so distracted by a mere human that he ignores his own duties in the immortal realm? How can an immortal who was never meant to have a mate, join a young woman in her destiny without irrevocably changing the lives of millions and potentially altering history in a way the Creator never intended?

“Dream of me, Princess,” Dair whispered into her ear.
“Then weave me a dream, Sandman,” she said softly. “And we can dream together.”
As her eyes grew heavy, she heard Dair’s voice telling her to sleep, to open her mind to him and let him in. I’m all yours, she thought as sleep finally claimed her.

Dream of Me (Dream Maker, #1)My 5 Star Review
Dream of Me by Quinn Loftis

Many of us grew up hearing the phrase, “Sweet Dreams” and heard all about the Sandman and the magical dust he casts to send dreams. What did you picture? A little guy kind of like an elf? Quinn Loftis’ Sandman is a being who has been around since the creation of time, made by the Creator, himself. He is not angel, but he is well-known among them, even if he has always been a loner. But the night he met Serenity, he no longer wanted an existence alone. Some people are nice, some not, but Serenity has that special gift for caring and helping others, no matter the cost. The more Dair sees of her, the more he wants to know her, but, would it be breaking all the rules? Would she even be able to see him? Would she even like him?

When a brilliant young girl, whose life has had so much love and joy suddenly has her world devastated by the death of her parents and must move in with her less than savory aunt, Dair knows she needs protection and with the help of an angel, Serenity is placed directly in her path when young Emma needs her most. As Dair and Serenity find their attraction growing, Dair must come to terms with both his immortality and Serenity’s totally mortal existence.

Will the creator allow them time together? How can they save young Emma from the nightmare she is living? There is something special about both Serenity and Emma and their futures are bound together, but only one may survive if the future is to come to pass and there is not enough magic in the Sandman’s dust to change that.

Flat out, Quinn Loftis and her latest gem, Dream of Me is just one of those reads that feels like a dream, itself. Beautifully written from the heart of this author, there are moments of happiness, sorrow and love that had me smiling, knowing there really are good people like these characters in a world that has gotten too cold and cynical. Geared to younger readers, thirteen and up, it is a refreshing change to find an author who knows how to create age appropriate magic with her words and to remind us it is okay to believe in things like the Sandman, who just happens to be a handsome hero, and not a little gnome or elf! Low on angst, high on kindness, a great "feel good" read!
