Synopsis:

School is out for the summer and Pablo Perez, his sister, Pia, and their cousin, Kiki Flores, visit the Bar-7 ranch in New Mexico. The young Missourians have come to help their Uncle Antonio with the annual cattle roundup.
Uncle Antonio introduces his nephew and nieces to hundreds of primitive petroglyphs that have been chiseled into the walls of a nearby canyon—Petroglyph Canyon. The primitive rock drawings are part of Uncle Antonio’s sprawling cattle ranch. Sadly, looters are routinely excavating the ancient drawings with high-tech rock saws. Uncle Antonio believes the looters are selling the glyphs.
Pablo, Pia, and Kiki are determined to put a stop to the looting, and that’s when the adventure begins.

The Ghosts of Petroglyph Canyon by Christopher Cloud

Summer vacation is always fun and full of adventure and excitement for Pablo, his little sister, Pia and their cousin, KiKi, but this year will be one that goes down as the greatest adventure of all! Uncle Antonio shares a hidden cavern and its ancient treasures, glyphs drawn long ago, messages from the past, history in its purest form. Too bad thieves have been taking pieces and selling them for financial gain. Will a trip to an antique shop accidentally put these kids on the trail of these thieves? Has their curiosity put them in the sites of evil? Could it cost them their lives? Only a mysterious old man may have all the answers to staying alive, and with his help, an exciting, but deadly chase is on, and time is running short!

Another fabulous children’s read from author Christopher Cloud! The Ghosts of Petroglyph is the perfect adventure to fuel the minds and hearts of younger readers by giving them heroes to relate to and cheer for! In the wisdom of youthful imagination, anything is possible and good always conquers evil. Christopher Cloud writes for an audience that can sit in awe of Pablo, Pia, and Kiki and their dangerous undertaking that saves the day, articles of history, and the rightful ownership of these treasures. What a wonderful way to teach kids how to do the right thing, no matter how easy it would be to turn their backs and say, “I can’t, I’m just a kid.”

With fully formed characters, beautifully vivid scenes, you will walk into caverns, feel the temperature changes, climb the rocks and make magical discoveries, all from the safety of your favorite reading spot! Get it for the kids, read it for yourself, have a family discussion, just like a private book club!

I received this copy from the author in exchange for my honest review.
