Darkness Brutal by Rachel A. Marks
Darkness Brutal is a dark and edgy, young adult, urban fantasy.
Aidan is trying to save his sister anyway he can, even if it means loosing his own life. Homeless, battling the evil looking to take his young sister, he finds a teen group of ghost hunters that take him in. It seems to good to be true, the others ghost hunters share similar abilities to route out paranormals.
The forces of good and bad will definitely collide with many caught in the crossfire.
This is not a story for the light hearted reader. Aidan's and his sister's situations are dire. The world they reside in is bleak and dark and most of all evil is just that really evil with some major creep factor going on.
This is a great story with little time to rest between perilous situations, Marks still manages to create characters with true personas.
I really enjoyed sharing in Aidian's and the other character's journey. Darkness Brutal was a terrifyingly twisted tale of light and dark that will stick with you long after this story end.
I received this ARC copy of Darkness Brutal from Amazon Publishing - Skyscape in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication July 1, 2015.
