Now that Sean and Scarlet are together, Scarlet couldn't be happier. They were meant for each other and would make any sacrifice to be together. With her greatest friend as her new lover, their relationship was perfect. But when Sean asks her to move back to New York, she hesitates. She doesn't want to leave her brother after finally reconnecting with him so they agree to make the coast-to-coast trip every weekend. Scarlet wants Sean to move to Seattle but she knows he can't leave his job for her. Scarlet fears that Sean still loves Penelope even though she never questions him about it. When Penelope shows up at Sean's apartment pregnant and penniless, Sean has to decide what he really wants. Will a baby interfere with the happiness that Scarlet has recently found?
Forever and Always by E. L. Todd
Life and love just aren’t going to be easy for Scarlet. She and Sean seem solid, but long distance romance is not easy, promises are made, but are too easily broken. Will Penelope find a way to burst Scarlet’s happy bubble once again or will it become a wake-up call for Scarlet to move on and make her own mark in the world of romance? Will the voices of reason on the west coast outshout that haunting call from back East? Love makes us do crazy things, for a woman as giving as Scarlet, her actions appear to go beyond crazy and straight into “Are you out of your ever-loving mind?” Hop aboard the Love Train with Scarlet, and hope the light at the end of the tunnel isn’t the lights of an oncoming engine.
Forever and Always by E.L. Todd is about the love one woman has for her best friend and her capacity to forgive or not as she is repeatedly put in a position that would drive a lesser person to do great bodily harm. E.L. Todd isn’t trying to say this is a healthy relationship, she is telling a tale of the pitfalls and joys of love, and giving for one woman who just can’t say no and refuses to see the bad side of anyone. Scarlet makes foolish decisions in the name of “helping” others. Sometimes they blossom, sometimes they implode, as Scarlet becomes the poster child for impulses gone wild. Ms. Todd completely involves her readers with her storytelling, even if one’s reaction isn’t positive to the events playing out, she manages to evoke strong opinions in this world of her making. THAT is good writing! People are talking about this series after having read it, THAT is good writing, especially when polar opposite opinions are expressed and the reasons are backed up.
Get ready for a journey that is sure to strike a chord with readers, flat or sharp, we all want to know what happens next!
