Kat Hilliard is unprepared when New York's most eligible bachelor, Reese Tremaine, bumps into her on a downtown train. Her simple life will never be the same.

Determined to live out a lifelong dream, Kat Hilliard moves cross country after college to New York City to chase her destiny. Knocking out 140 character tweets for a financial firm by day and engaging in all the sexy options Manhattan has to offer by night, Kat is suddenly swept into the hideaways and haunts of the extremely rich and decadent as her life spins out of control and into the headlines.

Burdened by an unwanted celebrity, Kat fights to remain true to her dreams and herself as great sex, a heated political campaign and the dark secrets of a soldier returned home push her toward the one mistake that could keep her from living out her New York fairytale.

Standalone book.

Kinda Maybe by Elise Daniels

Kinda Maybe (Big City Nights, #2)West Coast girl lands in the Big Apple, ready for a new life, a new career, new roommates and ALL the nightlife the city that never sleeps has to offer! But was she ready for HIM? Kat NEVER expected to catch the eye of the hottest commodity in NYC, Reese Tremaine, quite possibly the next mayor. But is she cut out for life under the microscope of the public? Is she meant to be on the arm of a power player who wines and dines with wealthy elite? They are molten magic in bed, but always having to watch your every move, your every word and a complete lack of privacy just might be too much pressure for Kat and Reese’s world isn’t the reality she craves.

When a troubled soldier haunts her dreams, his silent looks of condemnation shred her heart, she finds her heart locked in a game of tug of war where she may not be the only loser. Her life has met a fork in the road and her heart must be her compass. Why is “growing up” so hard? How can one heart be pulled in two directions? This is no time for “he loves me, he loves me not.” It’s time to face the truth and take a leap of faith, regardless of where she lands.

Elise Daniels’ Kinda Maybe is true to its word, although part of a series, it CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE! Get ready to fall in love with Kat’s crazy life, her unfiltered thoughts that often flow directly out her lips. With a great set of characters, some quirky, some flamboyant, some brooding and some not worth mentioning, this tale is humorous, serious and endearing as we get to watch Kat enter the swirling vortex that is life, love, growing up and a good dose of emotional mayhem. In the end, this is a fun read that has its emotional rollercoasters, scoops of angst and one New York Newbie struggling to get beyond her fantasies of the Big Apple and find what real love really is. Elise Daniels has made this trip to New York a little more personal, a little less cold and a lot more interesting. Maybe Paris isn't the only city of love!
