A Scottish hunter and a French secret agent find themselves on a collision course with danger—and irresistible desire—in Vonnie Davis’s new bear-shifting Highlander novel, perfect for fans of Jennifer Ashley and Shelly Laurenston.

In the pine-dense mountains of the Scottish Highlands, shape-shifter Ronan Matheson is running free when a desperate woman parachutes out of the sky, directly onto his furry, powerful chest. Instead of clawing her to death, Ronan’s inner bear longs to keep her safe. Once he’s back in human form, Ronan is amused by the mysterious beauty’s fearless attitude—and tempted by her expertly toned physique. But what could she possibly be doing in this isolated stretch of the Highlands?

French intelligence agent Anisa Brosseau never imagined she’d be on the CIA’s bad side—until she’s framed for treason and forced to flee in a stolen drone. Hiding out in a remote cabin, Anisa just needs some time to clear her name. What she doesn’t need is a brooding, muscle-bound Scot in a skimpy kilt to drive her crazy with lust. But when Anisa’s enemies come knocking on his door, Ronan calls on a secret weapon to protect his turf and the bonny lass he’s come to love.

Bearing It All by Vonnie Davis (Highlander's Beloved #3)

Bearing It All (Highlander's Beloved, #3)Part comedy, part romance, Vonnie Davis’ Bearing It All also reveals the final word on what is under a Scot’s kilt…and it does not go unnoticed!

For Ronan Matheson’s inner bear, the feisty woman who fell from the sky was his to care for, his to love and well, just HIS. Unfortunately Ronan doesn’t feel the same way; he was at his little cabin for some solitary peace and quiet, and to let his bear run free. Like a heavenly being, French secret agent Anisa Brosseau came parachuting in and then she opened her pretty little mouth, releasing a tirade that made her seem more like a demon from hell or at least a prickly porcupine. She is fearless (almost), feisty and Ronan soon understands what his bear sees in this special woman.

So, we have two people and some pretty big secrets between them, and one determined bear that tends to be a free spirit and definitely is in love. Get ready for dialogue that may just belong on stage! There were times I could almost hear the ba-dum after some great one-liners. Talk about a hate to love romance with an interesting twist!
When danger comes for Anisa, the very people she was on the run from, it is up to Ronan to protect her, but could it be that Magnus, the bear thinks he can do a better job? At what cost to both him and Ronan?

Vonnie Davis has a sense of humor and a sense of romantic adventure that leads to pure entertainment! Not sure about anyone else, but there is a definite love triangle here, and Magnus was the perfect, childlike charmer! Looking for a few chuckles to go with that shifter romance? Perhaps a taste of military machinations? How about a little interference from a quirky little witch? From start to finish Vonnie Davis keeps it light, keeps it entertaining and will leave you smiling!

I received this ARC edition from Loveswept in exchange for my honest review.
