Upon hearing screams, handsome rancher, Foster O’Donnell races to his barn and finds a stranger giving birth. When he tells her his name, she screams he can’t be Foster O’Donnell. Foster O’Donnell is the father of her baby. Can Christmas change their mutual distrust? Will Foster and Ginger find The Greatest Gift?
The Greatest Gift: A Montana Cowboy Christmas Book by Kathleen Ball
The worst storm of the season brought more than snow and isolation for rancher Foster O’Donnell as he finds a strange, yet beautiful woman in his barn giving birth in the frigid temperatures. Used and lied to, Ginger finds things are not as she was told and her “boyfriend” was NOT the owner of the ranch, but the never-do-well stepbrother. Does the magic of the season bring a special gift through unconventional ways?
The Greatest Gift: A Montana Cowboy Christmas Book by Kathleen Ball has all of the backbone and steam for a truly warm and romantic holiday read. This plot deserves to be fleshed and the entanglements truly revealed. Condensed as part of an anthology leaves too much unspoken, but still made for a fast read where the smell of leather and the sting of a blizzard feels real. Ms. Ball is an accomplished wordsmith, who could bring this to all of its glory with a few more pages!
I received this copy as part of the Silver Bells and Stetsons Christmas Anthology from Lyn Horner.
