Zac Goodman is a gunslinger who is haunted by an injustice from his past. He finds heavily pregnant Holly O’Leary in an abandoned wagon, her cheating husband lying dead a few yards away.
Reluctantly he takes her to his cabin to give birth.
Will this miracle Christmas baby unite two tortured souls? Or will it forever keep them apart.

Cowboy Christmas by Margaret Tanner

The original bad boy, a gunslinger, mistreated in the past, and still haunted and tarnished by it, lives the life of a hermit until the day before Christmas, when a wagon hanging on the side of a cliff opens his heart to the possibility of a future filled with love.

Holly was pregnant, about to give birth when the accident happened, killing her worthless husband and leaving her in labor, trapped in a wagon clinging to a cliff, and alone. Zac came to her rescue, gruff and harsh on the outside, his warm and caring side came to life at the sight of this woman, but she has a child and he has no use for family and caring, it only causes pain. Will Holly melt his frozen heart or is their time together at an end? With only more danger ahead, how could anyone want such a chaotic life?

Cowboy Christmas by Margaret Tanner is a brief tale of two broken people, with gaping holes in their hearts that can only be filled by real love. Bundle up, because baby, it’s cold outside and enjoy a quick holiday romance where the bad boy is double-teamed by a beautiful young woman and a newborn infant. Easily this could have become a full novel with these enticing and intriguing characters. Their stories have more to be told, but as a novella, it still warms those Holiday Romantics’ hearts.

I received a review copy from author Lyn Horner as part of the Silver Belles & Stetsons Anthology review.
