Leonidas “Blue” Delacroix might be the prodigal son of New Orleans aristocrats, but the Deacons of Bourbon Street are his real family. And with their patriarch murdered, Blue wants nothing more than to unleash hell on the motorcycle club’s enemies—even if it means taking up arms against the girl who used to be his best friend. She’s done quite a bit of growing up, and suddenly their chemistry is red-hot. But where’s the line between ruthless seduction and sweet temptation?
For Alice Day, loyalty is everything. When Blue skipped town, she had no choice but to adopt a new family: their rivals, the Graveyard Ministry. Seeing him again reawakens old feelings . . . and fiery fantasies. Alice could never forget the scent of leather on his skin—just as she could never forgive the sting of his betrayal. But while the Ministry has treated her like one of their own, Blue is part of her soul. And as their liaisons hit the boiling point, Alice trusts her heart with the deadliest choice of her life.
Hold Me Down is a MC scorcher.
Blue left without a word leaving Alice, AKA Red, his best friend behind.
Years later, Blue returns and discovers Alice is all grown up in a way that he’d like to get to know her more, until he finds out that she has joined the rival MC. To make matters worse, the Deacons, Blue’s club, believes the Graveyard Ministry, Alice’s club is responsible for the Deacon’s presidents death. Alice could be held as a traitor to the Deacon’s if Blue doesn’t protect her so he claims her has his property.
Let the battles begin. Red and Blue take fighting to an extreme until the anger turns to all consuming passion. Mistrust and anger seem to dominate the show between explosive sexual encounters everywhere else.
I’ve been with this series from the beginning and I can’t believe a group of men with all these talents for investigation and mercenary actions can’t figure out why they were all told to leave.
Some suspense but kind of predictable, it all comes down to war with Red and Blue caught in the middle.
This was my least favorite of the series so far. Don’t get me wrong, I liked it but the sex seemed to be the glue that held these two together. Made for some hot reading but light on the connection to the characters. That is why I’m going to give Hold Me Down 3.5 stars.
