Let Me Just Say This by B. Swangin Webster
We raise our daughters to respect themselves, to never allow themselves to be abused or to be the abuser in any manner. What happens when love comes into the equation, when the man you have vowed to love and cherish forever becomes an abuser? How much damage is done to a woman until she questions herself and finds herself lacking? Let Me Just Say This by B. Swangin Webster is an intense and painful journey one woman takes to re-discover her own self-respect and self-worth.
To the outside world, Cheryl had an idyllic marriage, but what went on behind closed doors tells of the nightmares of both physical and mental abuse at the hands of her husband while hiding the truth from the world and herself. Follow Cheryl as she fights her way through the truths, lies and devastation she endured. Will she come out a stronger, whole woman or will her shattered pieces be impossible to glue back together?
B. Swangin Webster writes with a powerful hand, taking on a subject that is both disturbing and far more common than we would like to believe. Ms. Webster adds the chaos, the realism and stark rawness of living the nightmare of abuse and gives voice as an advocate to all women, regardless of race or circumstance. Highly recommended as a thought provoking read that enlightens as it entertains as a well-written, if horrific tale that is far too easy to pretend is an isolated instance.
I received this copy from B. Swangin Webster in exchange for my honest review as part of her blog tour.
