When the Angels attack, there’s NO REST FOR THE WICKED.

Father Montgomery, an elderly priest with a secret past, begins to investigate after his parishioners come under attack, and with the help of Jones, a young businessman with an estranged child, Montgomery begins to track down the origin of the Angels.

The Angels are naked and androgynous. They speak in a dreadful harmony with no clear leader. These aren’t biblical cherubs tasked with the protection of the righteous – these are deadly creatures of light that have the power to completely eradicate.

When Jones himself is attacked, Father Montgomery knows he has to act fast. He speaks to the Angels and organises a final showdown where he’s asked to make the ultimate sacrifice.

No Rest for the Wicked by Dane Cobain

No Rest for the Wicked“Angel,” what comes to mind when you read that word? Chubby Cherubs? Perfectly sculpted beings with wings? Protectors, guardians, proof that there is a better place after death? Meet Dane Cobain’s angels and you will be in for the fright of your life, if you are fortunate enough to walk away. No Rest for the Wicked is going to take you into a world where angels have become wicked, evil, and they stand as judge and jury while dishing out their won form of justice in the most grisly ways imaginable. They have the power to wipe out humanity and all of its flaws and they are determined to do just that.

Where did they come from? How have they formed their own execution squad? Where are divine hope and grace, let alone intervention? Follow an elderly priest with secrets in his past, and a young businessman as they attempt to find how these deadly angels came to be. Are their origins found in religion or has science warped the angels we group up with? Who will be next to confess their sins and face the brutal punishment?

Dane Cobain will have you on the edge of your seat, sitting with all the lights on and thinking about anything you may have done that might not be seen in the best light come Judgment Day. Be advised, this is NOT a spiritual tale of the coming Armageddon, this is like a worst nightmare ever! Well written, dark, gruesome in the details, but definitely entertaining for those of us who like our horror and the hair-raising side. There is no religion bashing, no preaching, this is dark fiction on the edge, a very razor-sharp edge.

I received this copy from author Dane Cobain in exchange for my honest review. I have no personal or professional relationship with this author.
