Somewhere between the past and the future, between dreams and reality, is The White Room.

Anika Rossi appeared to have the perfect life. A gifted dancer heading for the bright future that The White Room had been quietly guiding her toward. She had always known exactly what she wanted: to live the fairy tale. She would dance the role of every princess, Tyne Bonham would be her handsome prince and together they would find happily every after.

Christopher Rossi had a secret. A vision of something terrible, seen before he was even born that haunted his reality and threatened everything he loved.

Tyne Bonham had a history that he was ashamed of and couldn't seem to overcome. The one person who could mend him was Anika, but the six-year age gap seemed too big to bridge.

When a stranger took an interest in Anika, an event from the past began to haunt them all. The future became inexplicable tangled with a devastating moment that couldn't be changed. The White Room stubbornly refused to show anything but empty whiteness and death seemed to be the ultimate conclusion.

Could Christopher's secret save them or would the dream of happily ever after be lost forever? Find out in The White Room.

The White Room by Mindy Haig (The Wishing Place, #2)

The White Room (The Wishing Place/The White Room, #2)For those able to access it there is a magical place called The Wishing Room. For their children, it is called The White Room, a place where dreams can become reality, good or bad and even love can be found.

Anika has been guided by The White Room toward a future she dreams of, an accomplished dancer, a beautiful girl, and her heart is set on the one young man she cannot have. Tyne feels unworthy of Anika’s love, notwithstanding their six year age difference. His past is riddled with guilt and secrets and he struggles to move past what haunts him.

Christopher, the most gifted of the family has been shown a terrible secret in The White Room and has vowed to make sure what he saw never happens, at any cost. Without telling a soul, the preteen carries this burden in his heart, waiting for the moment he must act.

When Anika catches the eye of a rebellious classmate, they form an unusual friendship. Something is not quite right about Eagle, although Anika sees him as someone who just needs love. Could he be a mad man with a plan? Time will tell, because The White Room is revealing only bits and pieces, terrifying scenes with terrifying outcomes that are easily misunderstood. When the moment of truth comes, there will be pain, loss and the fluttering of the fledgling flights of love. The White Room will have served its purpose, once again.

Mindy Haig has continued to mesmerize her audience with another tale of magic, young love, both romantic and familial. Enjoy the diverse characters from dreams of Anika to the darkness of both Tyne and Eagle. The show stealer will be the precocious young Christopher who seems to be the most mature of all! Wonderful reading, filled with rich details and deep emotional feelings, The White Room is a stellar follow up to The Wishing Room. Once again, Mindy Haig proves her strength as a writer with a unique style of her own!
