Award-winning author Theresa Rizzo delivers a thrilling crime novel packed with suspense, romance, and redemption.

The Scarfilis and Donnatellis love deeply and protect fiercely. “Family takes care of family” is the code they live by.

So when a hacker threatens Gianna Donnatelli’s life, Dr. Joe Scarfili is determined to keep her safe, only he has no police or tech experience, and Gianna’s penchant for aiding Detroit’s underprivileged is the same kind of altruism that got his wife killed. Gianna protects Joe with the same unyielding resolve.

Gianna pushes all his insecurity buttons. Joe tries her patience like no other. But together they’ll fight to save each other and their love… Or die trying.

Silent Sentry by Theresa Rizzo

Silent SentrySomeone wants Gianna Donnatelli, dead or alive and they will stop at nothing to get what they want. Gianna has created a program that will turn the medical care field into a far more patient/doctor/cost friendly world and Gianna’s fledgling company is going to reap the benefits. Her life is turned into a living nightmare as break-ins, deaths and her own injuries prove that whoever is after her and her product are serious, deadly serious.

Strong, willful and independent, Gianna’s past comes back to haunt her when she is taken to the hospital in the form of Dr. Joe Scarfili, the man she had a crush on since childhood. A successful surgeon, who has the right address in a wealthy area outside of Detroit, Joe is determined to help protect Gianna from her stalker, because the family protects their own, but is he up for the challenge of trying to control Gianna for her own safety?

Follow along as Theresa Rizzo brews up a blend of computer espionage, international mob greed and showcases the stark differences between the haves of a wealthy community and the have-nots left behind to struggle in a dying city. Gianna has a heart full of love for those less fortunate than she and she puts her money where her mouth is. Joe is caught up in preconceived ideas of those of lessor circumstance, as well as the memories of the darkest day of his life. Both strong willed, both not seeing life as it truly is, can they trust their budding romance for what it is? Will they live to find out?

Ms. Rizzo has managed to create a maze of mystery, making it impossible to pick who the villain is. So many great prospects, so much deceit and misunderstanding, Silent Sentry is truly, an edge-of-your-seat read with an eye-opening look at common attitudes in society.

I received an ARC edition from the author, Theresa Rizzo, in exchange for my honest review.
