Haunted by nightmares, tormented by guilt, Jezebel came to Redemption Ranch to escape the past-except now she's stuck in the middle of nowhere with no redemption in sight. When her mother pushes her into riding lessons with local veterinarian Matthias Saunders, Jezebel balks. Sure, the doctor is gorgeous, but he's completely obnoxious and knows how to push every one of her buttons. Only her deep connection with The Reverend, a gentle stallion who guards her darkest secrets, has her agreeing to spend any more time with Dr. Saunders. Caring for the stallion is the first bright spot in her life in months, and if being around the horse means she has to deal with Matthias Saunders, then so be it. Surely a city girl like her can handle one country vet-even one with disturbing blue eyes. Can't she?

Jezebel's Wish by A.J. Nuest

She was buried under a mountain of jagged shards of guilt. They argued, she wished him ill and he died and she never got to say she didn’t mean it. Jezzy cannot get over the guilt she has carried since her fiancĂ© died and she has never told of what happened the day he left home, never to return. It was her fault, she is bad luck, she doesn’t deserve to find love and happiness, and Jezzy does her best to keep people at a distance by being prickly, sarcastic and often, plain rude. Home is where one can go to heal, home is where family is, but Jezzy is a city girl and her mother owns the Redemption Ranch where sleeping in means still being in bed at 5:05 am. Has Jezzy found a place to heal or is this her personal Hell in the middle of nowhere?

Enter the handsome, and aggravating veterinarian, Matthias Saunders, who seems to like nothing better than to get under her skin and make it crawl. Like a thorn in her side, Matty is there, daring her to stop being a princess, to stop being selfish and to learn to love again, starting with a beautiful black stallion, the Reverend. Jezzy took his dare and the riding lessons began, literally from the ground up. Caring for the Reverend became both a cathartic highlight of her day and another way to be around the man who was growing on her in so many ways as she learned to bare her heart to the mighty stallion and feel the relief of weight being lifted.

A.J. Nuest’s Jezibel's Wish is a tear-worthy tale of guilt, loss and redemption as one woman learns that life goes on after past mistakes and that no matter what, she is worthy of a chance at happiness. Home is where the heart is and that may be in the arms of a man who proves he can take all she has to dish out. Jezzy’s pain will break your heart, with the truths she learns, the guilt she has carried and the chances for happiness she has thrown away. Matthias is swoon-worthy, with a heart as large as the ocean and trust me, the patience of a saint. Together, they are prickly, humorous and so sweet, A.J. Nuest know how to write dream-worthy romance that will melt even the coldest heart. Keep the tissues close by, you are going to need them, a few times as A.J. Nuest shares romance from her heart to ours.
