ONE JOB OPENING
TWO SHIFTERS APPLY...
SPARKS FLY
Dragon shifter Chloe Arish is hell-bent on becoming a Boston firefighter. She uses her Irish charm and fake documents to score an interview, knowing she has to work every bit as hard as a man-harder if she wants their respect.

Born into a legendary Boston firefighting family, phoenix shifter Ryan Fiero can't possibly let someone best him on the training course or the job. He'd never hear the end of it. When a feisty new recruit comes along who's determined to do just that, Ryan plots to kick her out-until their sizzling chemistry turns explosive...

My Wild Irish Dragon by Ashlyn Chase (Boston Dragons, #2)

My Wild Irish Dragon (Boston Dragons, #2)Could it sound any more perfect? A secret dragon shifter and a secret phoenix shifter, both vying for the job in the same fire department without giving away their true natures. Tension between Chloe and Ryan runs as hot as the flames Chloe can spew and the flames Ryan can be re-born through, and that’s before the alarm has sounded. To call Chloe competitive and determined would be an understatement, but Ryan must uphold the proud legacy his firefighting family has created in Boston.

Now, they can either call a truce after both were hired which means there is no story or, they can continue to make sparks fly. When Ryan can’t let go of his protective nature where Chloe is concerned, they are both in for a huge awakening when it ends up being Ryan who needs saving and Chloe is just the dragon to do it! Could this be the start of something neither can avoid or will they both be caught in lies by omission, ending any chance for love to grow?

Funny, clever, cute and certainly filled with secrets, My Wild Irish Dragon by Ashlyn Chase is a light read that most definitely entertains. I loved Chloe, that girl definitely breathes fire and has a stubborn streak a mile long. Ryan, well, he seems like maybe he could use some twenty-first century 101 classes when dealing with women. There is a way to be protective but not smothering and his filters, well, sometimes he is a bit too obvious. Now Chloe, lacks all filters unless the situation is dire.

The question remains, can a fire-breathing dragon and a mythical bird who rises from flames avoid burning the house down with their unbridled passion? A fun read, easy to laugh with.

I received an ARC edition from Sourcebooks Casablanca in exchange for my honest review.
