Souls Discovered by Miranda Brock (The Keeper's Way, #1)
After losing her family in a fiery inferno, Autumn finds herself being hunted by dark and menacing creatures. From out of nowhere she is rescued by an Adonis, but has she really been rescued or is he, too out to kidnap her? What Autumn will learn is beyond her wildest fantasy and the world she once believed in becomes a memory in her mind. Hang on as Miranda Brock’s Souls Discovered whisks you into a world of raging wars, magical windows, super powers and the first blush of a love that can never be.
Seven warriors called the Searchers, each handsome, intelligent and unique in their personalities have all sworn their fealty to Autumn, who they refer to as the Keeper, the conduit to a realm far beyond Earth’s realm. Autumn has become a leader, the one who sees where the enemy is and takes her Searchers into battle. One searcher is different from the rest, he is almost robotic, as he remains so distant. Jason is the leader and it takes all he has to keep his hands off Autumn. Better to let her think he is a stone, but soon his walls crumble and their feelings could violate the purity demanded of the Keeper. Will Autumn become too great of a distraction in battle for her Seven Searchers as they wage war on the Dehmans that are coming to steal her window and her growing powers?
Miranda Brock has created a world of high emotion, drama and angst, speaking perfectly to a young adult audience that will understand Jason and Autumn’s plight. Detailed scenes of confrontation, verbal, physical and emotional makes for reading that will take one out of the world of reality and into one filled with what ifs as her fantasy becomes a tangled web in the battle of good versus evil, fated responsibility and feelings from the heart as one girl must rise to the occasion and go beyond the call of duty.
