Axton’s existence was a lonely one until his mother brought Sadie into his life. Now, she’s the center of his universe, and he’ll do everything in his power to protect her.

But Griselda’s evil plans cast a dark shadow over their love, threatening the future he so desperately craves. With separation looming, Ax is preparing to sacrifice everything for the girl he loves. It’s a high-stakes gamble, and he needs to stay ahead of the game if he’s to outsmart his conniving mother.

Sadie has been his savior.

Now it’s his turn to save her.

The Heir and the Human by Siobhan Davis (Saven #3.1)
The Heir and the Human (Saven #3.1)…And here is the Rest of the Story of Axton and Sadie’s life, love and now the loss they faced. Anyone on the fence about Axton versus Logan in Sadie’s life are going to be brought to your romantic knees as Axton tells their love story that was doomed from the start. The Heir and the Human is the latest great read from Siobhan Davis and I actually read it twice and yes, I ran the gamut of emotions both times. A romantic’s dream, two amazing men, both powerful and both deeply in love with a girl who was trained/drugged and brainwashed to infiltrate and destroy at least one of them. As it looks now, Sadie has already been lost to Axton, thanks to his brutal, power-hungry and rabidly vile mother, the ruler of Tor.

Imagine growing up without the love and support of your parent, made fun and publicly belittled, instead. That was Axton’s life, until Sadie came along and he had found his destined mate, someone who loved him for who he was, someone he loved from the depths of his soul. Leave it to Griselda to crush their dreams, no matter how hard Axton tried to foil her plotting.

Once again, Siobhan Davis drives home another hit, with all of the raw intensity she is known for, all of the dialogue she brings to life and the amazing characters she has chiseled into multifaceted beings. The Saven Series is a reader’s delight, The Heir and the Human is like the filling in a multi-layered cake. Griselda? Not sure she can ever be redeemed, but Axton will break your heart in his sincerity.

I received an ARC edition from Siobhan Davis in exchange for my honest review.
