Grace is at the end of her life, Roman by her side. He has failed in his quest to discover how to resurrect those humans who can be enthralled and now Grace is facing certain death. How can Roman live without her? She has been a part of his life for millennia, but all he can do now is to be there for her.

Sanctifying Grace by Elizabeth Davies (Resurrection, #3)
Grace has withered away with her body shutting down. Watching the pain on her family’s faces hurts and there is little she can do about it. Even her ability to communicate is getting worse, but the joy of knowing her brother has found a girlfriend helps her pain, until she meets the young woman and realizes she knows her, from another life and time.

There is only one man who can save her from eternal death and he has always refused. Time is the enemy and perhaps it is better that Grace go on to another plane, because love lasts for eternity and her soul can be at peace. When she has one last dream, it is of Roman, a Roman she never knew and it seemed that their love had come full circle.

Oh My, Elizabeth Davies and Sanctifying Grace is simply a stunning and emotional tale that showcases the final moments of a strong woman who, in spite of everything, still feels the zest of life in her dreams as she shares her heart and body with the vampire she loves. Ms. Davies has taken a unique approach to vampires and humans in love, giving human qualities to an ancient vampire without casting aside his true nature. As far as Grace, her name is perfect for her, her grace in the face of death is an admirable trait. Her life with Roman is her final joy, their sexual encounters like a final taste of love.

Wonderful reading, able to bring depth, emotions and the feel of time travel to life! Highly recommended and most definitely a truly different approach to our love for things that go bump in the night.

I received this copy from Elizabeth Davies in exchange for my honest review.
