It was quiet, almost too quiet. A stunning Red defeat in the last Centennial is followed by a decade of tranquility. The Blues prosper in numbers and in strength, while the Reds withdraw, becoming more secretive and mysterious. When a massive explosion rocks the great Afterlife city of Asgelot, the Blues, led by Inseparables, Reese and Kate, must react quickly to save the city, and possibly every soul inside it.

Battle for the Afterlife Saga, Red Power Part 1 by C.J. Davis

Battle for the Afterlife Saga, Red Power Part 1C.J. Davis has dug deep and is once again bringing his take on life in the afterlife to readers who love science fiction, the speculation of what may lay beyond life and turned it into a tale of unrest in the battle of good versus evil for the souls of the universe. Things have been quiet, the Reds have gone off to lick their wounds from their defeat by the Blues, or so it seems, until once again, evil rears its ugly head and Reese and his Inseparable soulmate, Kate are called upon to defend all souls again. What they were not prepared for was the shocking and heartbreaking revelation of who is behind their latest attack.

Another heart-pounding tale from C.J. Davis that seems more mature, more settled, as if this author has grabbed his own baton and completes another leg of this saga in one smooth and powerful run. BATTLE FOR THE AFTERLIFE: RED POWER has meat, true grit and even a touch of romance to empower our characters.

Let the games begin and hang on tight, because this time out, the tension is razor taut with more twists than a pretzel!

I received this copy from C.J. Davis in exchange for my honest review.
