Oh, my Goodness, Miss Plumtartt, there is a fiendish monster at loose in London!”
“Quite so, Mr. Temperance. I say, the villain has the Great City in an uproar, sir.”
“Yes, Ma’am, Miss Plumtartt, Ma’am, there is murder at our elbow, wherever we turn.”
“The machinations of intrigue threaten to crush us in their merciless gears, eh hem? Yes, One suspects that this adventure may come to be known as ‘The Strange Case of Dr. Icky and Mr. Temperance.”

The Two Faces of Temperance by Ichabod Temperance
(The Adventures of Ichabod Temperance, #10)

The Two Faces of Temperance (The Adventures of Ichabod Temperance Book 10)THE TWO FACES OF TEMPERANCE by none other than Ichabod Temperance is another tale of mystery and quirky suspense. The reader becomes part of the story as the characters “talk” us through each scene, event and happening. There are few lines that are not part of a conversation, which leaves the reader caught up in the quirky cadence and elaborate speech of the steampunk era. Prepare yourself for plays on words, very detailed descriptions and a pretty much constant disparaging of our Icky. Sure, he isn’t your typical he-man hero, but he has heart and determination, not to mention Persephone at his side.

While I always enjoy Icky in action, sometimes I wished for a little less talk and a lot more action on my terms, visualized with my imagination. Don’t get me wrong, spending time with Ichabod and Persephone is always a unique experience that continually leaves me smiling, laughing and shaking my head and once again Icky delivers with all of his glorious and amusing style! To call this talented author uniquely qualified to tell these tales of fabulous fantasy and fun is perfectly fitting and delightfully surprising at every turn!

I received this copy from Ichabod Temperance in exchange for my honest review.
