A combustible Christmas tale, sure to bring laughs and thanks for your own lot in life. Never again will you be able to decorate without thinking of taking the easy way out. Piling all the brightly colored, overpriced decorations, fragile ornaments and tangled lights on the front lawn and setting a match to it, for the neighbors viewing pleasure.
A Christmas Novella, a cautionary tale that examines the durability of one woman’s sanity. A woman can only be pushed so many times…before she jumps off the edge.

Screw The Mistletoe: A Christmas NovellaNot afraid to check out some twisted and dark humor? Think you can handle infidelity, death and a woman who had the rug pulled out on her life, finding it was nothing but well-mannered lies?

It’s Thanksgiving Day and Jessica is waiting for her loyal and nearly perfect (think boring and predictable) husband to come home. Instead, what the police officer fumbled at telling her would push her over the edge of sanity and into the abyss of disbelief and betrayal. Scott was Mr. Holiday decorations, Mr. Deck the Halls better than the Jones’, but now his perfect designs are about to join the blazing inferno of his wife’s shattered world.

Angie M. Brashear’s SCREW THE MISTLETOE is a harsh, yet darkly humorous look at one woman’s feelings regarding being deceived, cheated on and left alone in the world. Prepare to be a little uncomfortable if you read too much into Jessica’s pain, but I have to say, I applauded her actions that first holiday season on her own!

I received this copy from Angie M. Brashears in exchange for my honest review.
