Daniel Hill was on edge. He was meeting his girlfriend’s parents for the first time, and they had to go and make Valentine’s Day evening the date. Who did that? Wasn’t Valentine’s Day for couples and not families? Then the girl in the white dress wandered in front of his vehicle. At that moment, Daniel knew his night was going to take a wrong turn…

If only he knew the new course would lead him down a dark one-way path.

Dying Valentine by Calvin Demmer

Dying ValentinePretty sure this was the worst Valentine’s Day ever for Daniel Hill. He was running late for dinner with his girlfriend, Julia’s parents. Soooo not his idea, he had wanted to wine and dine Julia, not meet her parents. To make things worse, he forgot his presents for beautiful Julia, his dream girl.

And that is when it happened, he ran into a girl who wandered in front of his speeding vehicle. Definitely not his best Valentine’s Day and it was just going to get worse and bloody and he would learn some dark truths about the woman he loved. Definitely nothing to make him all warm and fuzzy over her.

DYING VALENTINE by Calvin Demmer is the anti-love story to end all romances as he once again twists the holiday of love into a bloody misadventure where the color red has a coppery smell. Mr. Demmer is to holidays what the Grinch was to Christmas, except I love his twists, his dark sense of timing and how his characters are the last to know the bloody truth about the ones they love!

Clearly, Calvin Demmer can twist a tale in fewer words than many authors while tying his readers’ stomachs in knots! Another treasure with some jagged edges from a talented author! Go ahead, take a walk on the dark side, and don’t forget the hearts and flowers!

I received this copy from Calvin Demmer in exchange for my honest review.
