Something otherworldly is happening in a small Texas town.

As a small Texas town mourns the tragic death of its high school football star, Alecia is struggling to adjust to life without the boy she has dated since sixth grade and thought she would be with forever.

When Braden comes to her as an apparition, she finds herself falling for Riley, Braden’s best friend and teammate. Has Braden returned to spy on her, or for some other reason?

Alecia’s not sure, but she soon realizes she must find a way to accept Braden’s death and welcome love back into her life, or risk losing everything.

The Power of Secret Love changes everything…

Soul Awakening by Paul Lonardo

Soul AwakeningIn less than one hundred pages, the tale of a life and love ended too soon becomes a tale of inner comfort and the will to go on, to live, laugh and love again.

Paul Lonardo’s SOUL AWAKENING immediately draws readers in as his tale unfolds in a small Texas town that has just lost one of its high school football stars. As his girlfriend struggles to go on without the boy she has loved for years, he comes to her from beyond the veil, to encourage the living to go on. From his football team to Alecia, his message is heartfelt, but brief.

Has Alecia understood what he intends or is it her own free will that provided the permission she needed to go on? Strange events point to an ethereal visit, but only Alecia knows the truth as that small Texas town moves forward in life.

To say I was completely impressed at how much “story” Paul Lonardo managed to convey in so few words would be an understatement. There is atmosphere, characters that come to life (or afterlife) and a feeling of completion and “being there.” A wonderful, quick read for all ages, but geared toward a young adult crowd.

I received this copy from Paul Lonardo in exchange for my honest and voluntary review.
