The Rock Star's Email Order Bride by Demelza Carlton

Admit it, we all have pre-conceived notions of life as a rock star. The bigger the rocker, the crazier their lives must be, right? What really happens when the lights go down and the fa├žade falls? For Jay, rocker, secret resort owner, he is a lonely man who uses women to fight of the loneliness and continue his stage personae as a wildman, sex machine. Okay, he earned the rep, but the real man wants more. But would he order an email bride and why?

Phuong had her life all laid out, get her education, use it in the family business, and then her father passed away and that dream died with him. Forced to find a husband to support her, she resorts to an online marriage site. Its business, she will get her escape from home and her foot in the door in Australia and a roof over her head. Pretty easy to say Jay was not who or what she expected, and yet…

Demelza Carlton’s THE ROCK STAR’S EMAIL ORDER BRIDE is a quirky read about love, being yourself and exposing your vulnerabilities to another. It is also about how difficult it is to be a real person and not the puppet the world bows to. Get ready to chuckle, cringe and follow along as two strangers dance around the elephant in the room and the possibilities it brings.

If you haven’t read anything by Demelza Carlton, you have no idea about the creative storms that whirl in that author’s head. She can write humor and sizzle and keep her readers guessing just where she is taking them. Did I mention she is always very entertaining?

Once again, Ms. Carlton had me from start to finish, and created characters that will keep you changing your mind, should I laugh at them, feel deeply for them or, as in Jay’s case, should I smack him up-side the head for some of his antics? A fun read for sure!
