“Autumn never thought she would be faced with this choice. She couldn’t lose everything. Not again. Only this time it was different; completely, devastatingly different. When faced with such a decision, though, what choice did she really have?”

Following her purpose and picking up the pieces of her fractured heart is all Autumn wishes for. Increasing confrontations with Dehmons and the unveiling of powers keeps Autumn and her protective Searchers plenty busy, giving the Keeper the distraction she craves. Life is moving on and Autumn is beginning to find peace and strength once more.

That is, until something sinister and mysterious begins to slip into Autumn’s life, bringing with it doubts more dangerous than the Dehmons who threaten the Keeper’s existence.

New challenges arise as the Dehmon Masters start to leave their sanctuary, and with the discovery of a spear capable of turning humans into dark-souled Dehmons, the race to save innocents is more desperate than ever.

With the enemy pressing in on all sides, will Autumn be able to uncover the truth of the dark and treacherous visions haunting her mind, and untangle her heart in the process?

Join Keeper Autumn and her band of Searchers as they journey toward a destination none of them are prepared for.

Souls Asunder by Miranda Brock (The Keeper's Way, #2)

Souls Asunder (The Keeper's Way Book 2)What has author Miranda Brock done to her characters now? SOULS ASUNDER continues the story of a brave group of Searchers, warrior/protectors and their young leader, the Keeper, Autumn, whose has been tasked by Fate to rid the world of the evil of powerful Dehmons.

Autumn has faced the heartbreaking loss and has little time to re-group her emotions and move on as the Dehmon attacks on humanity increase and become more brutal, all in an effort to draw her out and destroy her group. Her state of mind brings new concerns for her Searchers as their numbers are now down by one. But evil waits for no one and the window will show Autumn what she must do.

As each new threat arises, Autumn will be gifted with new powers and her Searchers will evolve into more powerful beings, as well. One dark entity may be Autumn’s downfall, as she recognizes who he once was, knowing she must decide, does she let him live, even as he attempts to kill her or must she put an end to his deadly incarnation.

Once again, Miranda Brock gives no quarter on the pain she causes her characters or the turmoil she creates among them. Hearts will be broken, loyalties tested and one split-second decision could mean the end of the Seeker and her Searchers. Meanwhile, there is more bloodshed, more damage and more powerful Demons who will outnumber this group. A little high on personal angst and tragedy, one may wonder if Autumn is up to the task of protecting the world as her moments of strength seem far outweighed by her weaknesses, yet her Searchers go far above and beyond in kindness, the maturity she lacks and unwavering support and loyalty at any cost.
