Wickedly sinful, the Earl of Sussex, is an unrepentant rake. And the Wicked Earls' Club is the perfect place for a man of his station to indulge in life. That is until his parents make a match for him. Travelling to meet his intended bride, he is convinced he must end this farce. Until he meets Lady Tabitha. A fiery wallflower equally bent on ending their engagement.
Lady Tabitha, daughter or the duke, will not be betrothed to a rake no matter what her father thinks of his social connections. As long as she doesn't stare into the depths of his green eyes, or linger on the strong lines of jaw, she should be able to scheme her way out of this engagement. That is, if her intended groom would just cooperate in her plans.
Earl of Sussex by Tammy Andresen (Wicked Earls' Club, #1)
His life as a rake was coming to a screeching halt, all because his parents decided it was time to make a match he had no interest in, but as must, the Earl of Sussex would dutifully meet Lady Tabitha and hope the match was ill-suited. Then again, maybe it was time to lay rest to his merry ways. Too bad Tabitha isn’t the shrinking Violet he expected. She also wanted nothing to do with him or his rakish ways.
Taken aback, he finds her not only beautiful, but feisty, intelligent and able to scheme with ease. Has the little “wallflower” been hiding a lioness underneath her proper façade? Perhaps together they can find a way out of this unwanted union. Perhaps it is too late for the Earl to save his heart…but the charming lady has no intention of falling simpering at his feet.
Tammy Andresen’s EARL OF SUSSEX is a sassy, sexy romance with a touch of wickedness, humor and makes for a delightful read! Ms. Andresen doesn’t waste time on heaving bosoms and weak-kneed heroines. Tabitha is a woman who knows her mind, says her peace and really doesn’t care if it displeases the Earl. As for our handsome rake, he is more gentleman than cad. Together, they make this short historical romance a fabulous read!
