Patrick Regan is a man on a mission. Expertly trained by the Royal Marines and with crack sniper skills, he's always taken the fight to the enemy, but now he realises that whilst he's been away Great Britain has been attacked.
His parents are dead, his sister is missing and he's getting zero help from the authorities, Regan is forced to face the faceless: the insidious thugs of the invading Russian Mafia. With their sights set on the complete domination of Britain's organised crime, their toxic regime of bribery, intimidation and violence has even infiltrated to the very top of Britain's military intelligence.
Once again Regan prepares to take the fight to the enemy, but this time, he's hunting them on home soil.
The British Frontline by Thomas J. Eyre (Codename Orcus, #2)
He followed in the footsteps of his father. Patrick Regan is a Royal Marine, a sniper, a man willing to face the enemy head on. It was after a deadly mission in Iraq that he discovered that while he was off fighting a known war, another enemy has slithered like a deadly viper into his country and his life and this mission will be his most important yet. He will not fail.
He may not have liked or trusted his stepfather, but now he is dead, murdered along with his mother and his half-sister is missing. The blames points to bad debts owed to the Russian Mafia, a conglomerate of thugs and power-hungry monsters who have willing to take repayment out in trade, of the most heinous kind and no one can be trusted.
Regan will call on all of his training, all of his shear grit to save his sister and stop the poison that is infiltrating his country or die trying.
Thomas J. Eyre’s THE BRITISH FRONTLINE is a dark and gritty tale of war, not on the scorching sands of a foreign country, but in the underbelly of society. Are you looking for a hero who will stop at nothing to protect what is his, who will stand like David against Goliath? Want a hero who isn’t afraid to break the rules in the name of justice?
Mr. Eyre doesn’t pretty up his tale with delicate words, he has pounded out brutal scenes that are cringe-worthy. This is a no-fluff zone riddled with detail and not for the faint of heart. It is a tale for those looking for an over-the-top hero. Highly recommended for those looking for grit and guts and justice.
