Madison’s job—and soul—are on thin ice.

Madison Fox is determined to reform Jamie, her half-evil pooka, but the bond linking her to Jamie works both ways. Already, it has manipulated her into bending the rules. If she continues down this path, she could doom her soul. Since her judgment can’t be trusted, a high-ranking inspector now dictates Madison’s every interaction with Jamie, and each directive drives them further apart.

Unfortunately, Madison has bigger issues than the potential degradation of her soul. Winter has struck with a vengeance. Frost moths plague the entire state, reinforcing the artificially frigid temperature. Worse, cold-blooded, soul-stealing enemies are flocking into her region from the north—creatures Madison has little defense against.

With the inspector scrutinizing her every misstep, Madison is in for the battle of her life. If she hopes to survive, she must make an impossible choice: save herself and her region or save Jamie.

An imaginative urban fantasy filled with heart, humor, and plenty of butt-kicking action—A Fistful of Frost is a book you won't want to miss.

A Fistful of Frost by Rebecca Chastain (Madison Fox, #3)

Fresh off the long anticipated date with Dr. Love, you would think Madison could enjoy “that kiss,” but noooooo, evil and danger know no holiday. Let’s not forget Jamie, now imprinted on Madison, the shape-shifting half-good, half-evil pooka may look like an adult, but he is still child-like and quite a manipulator, too. As Madison straddles the fine line between good “guardian” and soft-hearted “parent,” she risks her very soul. Is she handling her relationship with Jamie all wrong? Should she be more assertive, and command his obedience? Sounds like a recipe for disaster and rebellion…

As if her relationship with Jamie isn’t a big enough issue, winter has sunk its frigid claws into the area and with it comes frost moths and more with their own icy brand of evil and soul-sucking, mind numbing nastiness. As Jamie gives Madison the deep freeze, he finds acceptance for his evil half, forcing Jamie into a position that could mean death for one of them.

No worries, all is not doom and gloom for Madison and the enforcers, okay, things are pretty bad, especially as Madison is being treated as public enemy number 1 by a powerful inspector who could probably travel on a broomstick.

Rebecca Chastain’s A FISTFUL OF FROST is another high-powered, action-packed quest to conquer evil and Madison is, once again at ground zero for trouble. Through it all, the dialogue still rocks the one-liners, the situations still ping-pong between deadly serious and seriously amusing and Madison is still an enforcer extraordinaire, if a little unconventional. Even Val is finding a newfound respect for our girl!

Book after book, page after page, Rebecca Chastain never misses a beat telling Madison’s tale! Fabulous fantasy with heart and humor that never gets old!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Rebecca Chastain!
