The Third Throne: Angel of Distrust is the fifth book in the steamy Adult Paranormal Romance / Slow Burn RH series. Each angel brings the world closer to the Apocalypse!

*Note that this book is intended for Mature Readers due to language, sex, violence, multiple romantic entanglements, and death. This is a Slow Burn Reverse Harem, which means one member of the harem is acquired in each book as the series continues.

Angel of Distrust by Tabitha Barret (The Third Throne, #5)

Angel of Distrust (The Third Throne #5)Tabitha Barret made us wait for the fifth book in The Third Throne series and all I can say is that GREAT things come to those who wait! ANGEL OF DISTRUST is a kaleidoscope of characters coming together in a collage of scenes, subplots and emotions that are as entangled as they are uniquely riveting!

To keep a series fresh, characters must grow, their interactions must change and this time out, Ms. Barret has reached new heights.

Anjali must find the last Harpy in existence who could be used by Hades to overthrow Lucifer. Oh wait, Hades doesn’t have any Harpies…at least not that he will admit to. One angel is determined to end her and her control over his brethren, capturing her and binding her powers, leaving it open season on destroying Anjali. Has the Angel of Distrust gone over the edge?

Alone with a crazed angel on a deserted island, Anjali must figure out how to survive, escape and bring her angel back into the fold. She didn’t ask to be the Bringer of the Apocalypse, but like her angels, she is bound by a higher power to carry out her duties. She didn’t know her angels suffered before her awakening. She also didn’t know she would find another of her lovers throughout time, searching for her to end his own emotional suffering. Has he made a deal with the devil to turn her over so he can finally forget her?

And let’s get back to Hades, because that man may be a bad guy, but this time out, he is both brilliantly evil and wickedly entertaining as we get to see more of who he is and what makes him tick!

Don’t get too comfortable, Ms. Barret has a ton of chaos to toss our way and just when you think you’ll need a score card to figure everything out, the pieces begin to come together, scene by scene as deceit, disloyalty, danger and some passionate romance fly by.

Anjali has grown in leaps and bounds, but her innate sense of right and wrong, as well as her compassion for others is intact and may be the glue that holds her angels to her in the long run.

Once again, this one was worth the wait, and from page one, I began to fall right back into this world completely! Tabitha Barret has raised the bar again for keeping this series fresh and alive, book after book! This series is one I will re-read and still find more to like about it!

I received a complimentary copy from Tabitha Barret!
