The Mercenary by Petra Landon (The Araloka Chronicles #1)

The Mercenary (The Araloka Chronicles Book 1)She belonged to what was once the most advanced civilization in the galaxy. When her world was taken over by enemy forces, she became part of the rebellion. Now Saakshi is a prisoner, serving her term working tables in a space station bar. She has no rights, no protection and will do anything to save herself when an old enemy comes walking back into her life. She needs a protector, but at what cost can she strike a bargain?

Zoran is a powerful mercenary warrior. He is drawn to a small young barmaid, and when she needed help he was there, but he wasn’t prepared for the deal she offered him to be her protector. Was it her fire, her fear or her innocence that drew him to her? Could he live with himself if he took what she offered? Could he live with himself if he didn’t?

All is fair in love and war, but when two souls find an oasis of love amidst the chaos of war, they will have the united power to create a revolution.

Petra Landon’s THE MERCENARY is more than science fiction. It is a love story filled with all of the passionate trappings that make hearts beat just a little faster. Sizzle and science fiction meld together as the foundation for a new series comes alive.

Ms. Landon can definitely write romance and her science fiction is not over-the-top, it was almost too tame, but this is only the beginning!
