Some men are just better when they're bold.

Welcome to the Point...

In a dark and broken kingdom, a ruler has to be fearless to control the streets and the ruthless people who run them.

Race Hartman is just bold enough, just smart enough, and just lost enough to wear the crown. Places like the Point will always have bad things and bad people, but the man in control of all that badness can minimize the devastation. Race has a plan, but can he prevent total annihilation without destroying himself?

Brysen Carter has always seen her best friend's brother for what he is--too pretty, too smooth, and way too dangerous to touch. Basking in Race's golden glow is very tempting, but Brysen knows she'd eventually get burned.

When she starts receiving threatening texts and someone tries to take her out in parking lot, the only person interested in keeping her safe is the one man she can't allow herself to have.

Sometimes being bold is the only way to stay alive. But can she let Race save her life . . . if it means losing herself to him?

Better when He's Bold (Welcome to the Point, #2)My Review:
Better when He's Bold by Jay Crownover

Better When He's Bold is the story of the swoon worthy “anti-hero” character of Race Hartman and the rich girl holding on by the string of her teeth, Brysen Carter.

Race has taken to riding that fine line of being just beyond the law in an effort to keep the really bad elements out of the Point.

Byrsen has done everything she can to keep her family together but even with all her attempts she quickly realizes you can't save a sinking ship when the main people on board continue to drill holes in the hull.

The chemistry between Race and Bysen has never been the issue, but Byrsen has put up carefully constructed guards to keep those passions from burning bright. When Race keeps coming to Byrsen's rescue, she starts to rely on the not so reliable Race.

Better When He's Bold is an example of wonderful storytelling by Jay Crownover. Who doesn't love watching  unchangeable hearts slowly melt...the consummate bad boy learn to love...the HEA for the not so nice situation...Well, I sure as heck did! This is a book that brings laughter, tears and heartbreaking decision and turns them into a true story of love.

I received this ARC copy of Better When He's Bold from William Morrow Paperbacks in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication February 3, 2015.
