Shadow Falling is the second installment in The Scorpius Syndrome series.

After the devastation of the Scorpius virus has took its toll on world, the gangs, mercenaries and other groups battle for control of a block, a neighborhood and the country. Your life and wellbeing all lies within the group or alliances you make. If that wasn't bad enough psychotic, virus infected humans have taken over the ruling of North America. Even the president has his own plans for a future where he rules as a ruthless tyrant with lots of torture and blood shed.

Raze Shadow, ex-military to mercenary, has joined LA community. He is accepted as one who will protect this community from harm but he has a secret agenda that might rip it apart.

Vinnie is the best FBI out there. Rescued from the "tender mercies" of the President, Vinnie is happy to join the LA community. But she is a hot commodity and there is a lot of people out there that would love to get control of her ability…and Raze happens to be one of them. Vinnie might be the key to the missing bunker that can possibly solve the Scorpius issue.

There is lots of sexual tension between Raze and Vinnie. But with lives hanging in the balance, sometimes chemistry is not enough.

Strong solid plot with just as strong and solid characters, Zanetti does a magnificent job creating this post-apocalyptic world for us to devour.

Shadow Falling was an absolute nail biting, page turner read that I highly enjoyed.

I was left wanting more and looking forward to the next installment.
